Shaping the Future of Art and Science in the Greater Bay Area — Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Dr. Tsung-Dao Lee

On November 22, 2025, the Greater Bay Area held the "Art and Science" Forum and the centennial celebration of academician Tsung-Dao Lee. Many leaders and professionals from science, art, media, and business attended the event.

The event had three main parts: the Cultural Heritage Forum, the Digital Wealth Forum, and the Charity Auction Dinner. These events brought together cross-industry dialogue, traditional culture performances, and public service. The theme of art and science living together was deeply shared. It gave the Bay Area new cultural energy.

Mr. Chen Ping, Chairman of Sun TV, gave a speech titled "Me and Sun TV." He reviewed the 20+ years of the channel’s development. He said that media should do more than deliver news. It should record our times and shape values.

"In fast-changing times, we need to learn from history and culture." Mr. Chen said that after 40 years of reform and growth, China has had many successes. But to build confidence in civilization, we must return to our roots. He called for drawing wisdom from tradition to raise cultural power and national unity.

Sun TV always chooses topics that focus on both today and history. It cares about change now, but also looks to the past for insight. He said, "People who understand history also understand today, and can better face the future."

His speech was calm but strong. It touched many scholars and cultural experts. It also gave new ideas on how media can balance business and social duty.

Dr. David Lee, Chairman of the International Chinese Science and Business Association, gave a talk titled "Science, Art, and Innovation."

He said art brings emotion, and science brings knowledge. Together, they help culture and science grow together. He believes reason from science and feeling from art work hand in hand. This balance leads to innovation.

The event was hosted by the China International Art Exchange Association. It was co-organized by Sun TV (Hong Kong) and Sun Victory Ltd. The forum used high-level talks, industry cooperation, and charity work to build a platform for connecting science and art.

It added new ideas and creativity to the Bay Area’s goal to become a world cultural center.

"Art and science" are not two separate worlds. They are two powers that must work together in the future. This forum gave deep answers to the human spirit in the new era. In the Bay Area, a place full of openness and innovation, a new journey of civilization has already started.

In the future, China will not only be a strong country in technology. It will also be a model of cultural confidence and shared human values.
